Does not run in the background

I had Running Gypsy but it did not have the mapping capability that this product has. The problem is that this does not run in the background unlike the Running Gypsy. If you go to iPod for example to change music selection, iTrail will restart and reset all of your running progress. Im putting this app in the back burner, I wish I can get a refund.
